If you’ve come all the way to Japan, wouldn’t you want to experience a touch of wabi-sabi at the Expo?
Beyond the crowds and the main attractions lies a hidden-gem pavilion where Japan’s quiet beauty truly comes to life.
Here’s my personal recommendation for those who want to immerse themselves in this timeless aesthetic.

ORA外食パビリオン 宴~UTAGE~ UTAGE PAVILION

See the red circle? That’s where you’ll find the UTAGE Pavilion.
At the UTAGE Pavilion, you’ll find a special booth that lets you experience Japan’s wabi-sabi.
Step inside, head up to the second floor, and let the quiet beauty unfold.

Go up to the second floor—you can’t miss the entrance.
茶室 means Japanese tea room.
Step inside the Japanese tea room and you can watch a short film called The Beauty of Japan.
It’s a 15-minute film.
With space for just eight guests at a time, it’s an intimate and luxurious experience.
It offers an immersive experience, with a 360-degree screen and audio delivered through headphones.

Now it’s your turn—when you come to the Expo, don’t miss the chance to experience Japan’s wabi-sabi.
