Reasons why it’s a good idea to enter the lottery two months in advance
You can enter the two-month advance lottery starting three months before your visit, and it closes one day before the two-month mark.
Why You Should Join the Lottery Two Months in Advance
If you’re thinking about visiting the Expo, there’s one simple reason to enter the lottery two months ahead:
👉 Because the chances of winning are the highest.
Let me explain.
More people tend to join the lottery closer to the date—especially the one held just 7 days before the event. Naturally, the earlier lottery has fewer applicants, which means better odds for you.
Even those with a full-season pass can’t always join the two-month lottery because they’re limited to three active reservations.
And summer pass holders. They can only use the two-month lottery twice during the entire summer period.
So if you want to increase your chances, securing your spot during the two-month advance lottery is your best move.
Now, you might be thinking:
“But I’m not sure about my schedule that far ahead…”
No problem! You’re allowed two changes to your reservation dates. So there’s flexibility built in.
Yes, there’s always a chance you’ll have to change your plans later. But if you skip the two-month lottery entirely, you’re missing out on the best shot at getting a reservation.
Don’t wait until the last minute—take advantage of the early lottery while you can!
What You Need to Prepare Before Choosing Your 1st to 5th Choices for the Two-Month Advance Lottery
By checking both the reservation slot list and the map, you’ll be able to:
- Avoid time conflicts between pavilions
- Optimize your route inside the venue
- Make the most of your reservation chances
Take a few minutes to prepare—your future Expo experience will thank you!

It’s time to choose your must-see pavilions!
🏥 Want to Reserve the Popular Osaka Healthcare Pavilion?
Let’s say you want to make a lottery reservation for the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion, one of the most popular spots at the Expo.
But first—do you know where it’s located?
Let’s check using Tsuji-san’s easy-to-read map!
You’ll find the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion near the East Gate.
So, if you can, it’s best to enter the venue from the East Gate.
If you’re entering from the West Gate, be sure to allow extra time for walking across the site. In that case, choose a reservation time with plenty of buffer.
📌 Next: Check the Number of Available Slots
At first glance, it may seem like the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion offers the same number of slots for both the 2-month and 7-day advance lotteries.
But here’s the trick:
Even if the number of slots is the same, the 2-month lottery has fewer applicants, making it easier to win.
So if you’re serious about visiting this pavilion, applying two months ahead gives you a clear advantage!
⚠️ Osaka Healthcare Pavilion Is Actually Divided Into Three Sections
Did you know that the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion is divided into three different experiences?
Let’s break it down:
🧬 Reborn Experience (リボーン体験)
- More than 1,000 slots are available for both the 2-month and 7-day advance lotteries.
- It’s relatively easier to get a reservation here compared to the others.
🎲 Reborn + Life Game
🐉 Monster Hunter Experience
- Total slots are fewer than 1,500 per day.
- Only less than 300 slots available for both the 2-month and 7-day lotteries.
- That means these two are extremely competitive!
Even though the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion is a popular destination, the experience you want to try will greatly affect your chances of winning a reservation.
Let me share a quick personal story…
I once chose the Life Game option simply because I love the board game.
I didn’t even look at the slot chart. And guess what?
❌ I didn’t win. Total rejection.
Maybe I wouldn’t have won even for the Reborn Experience…
But unless you’re absolutely sure you want to try Life Game or Monster Hunter,
it’s much safer to go with just the Reborn Experience, where the odds are better.
Let’s Decide Your Top 5 Pavilion Choices!
🎟️ Be Strategic with Your Top 5 Lottery Picks!
While the two-month advance lottery likely offers the best chance of winning, there’s one important tip:
❌ Don’t apply for the Reborn Experience for all five of your choices.
Yes, compared to Life Game or Monster Hunter, Reborn has more available slots and higher odds.
But—since the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion is incredibly popular overall,
even the Reborn Experience isn’t easy to win.
👀 Who Is This Blog For?
If you’re reading this, chances are you’re planning your first visit to the Expo sometime after summer break.
And for many of you, that might be your only visit.
So naturally, you want to make the most of it—and that means being strategic with your lottery picks.
✅ My Recommended Strategy
Instead of putting all your eggs in one basket, try this:
🅰️ If you’re visiting on a less busy day:
- 1st to 4th choice: Reborn Experience
- 5th choice: A pavilion with 5,000+ daily slots (check the chart above)
🅱️ If you’re visiting on a busy day (weekends, holidays):
- 1st to 3rd choice: Reborn Experience
- 4th & 5th choice: Pavilions with 5,000+ daily slots
This increases your chances of getting at least one reservation.
🕒 About “Easy Win” Time Slots
Some say 9 AM or evening slots are easier to win—but remember:
If too many people believe that, those time slots may actually become more competitive.
And we, the public, don’t have access to actual application numbers—so we’re all just guessing.
🚪 Important Gate Timing Tips
Let’s say you booked entry at 9:00 AM and reserved a 9:00 AM pavilion slot…
But the East Gate gets overcrowded, and you don’t make it in time.
Some pavilions may still let you in late, but others won’t—and you don’t want to risk it.
So it’s best not to count too heavily on early time slots unless you’re confident you can get in quickly.
🌙 Evening Visits: Enjoyment vs. Time
Evening slots might be easier to win, but there’s a catch:
For example, the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion is very interactive and full of content.
Some visitors say it took them over 4 hours to go through everything.
Of course, you can skip some sections and finish faster, but if you finally win a spot,
wouldn’t you want to enjoy it properly?
Try to give yourself at least 2 hours before closing time to fully enjoy the experience.
Important Tips for Applying to the Same Pavilion at Different Time Slots
⏰ Be Careful When Applying for the Same Pavilion at Multiple Time Slots
If you’re planning to apply for the same pavilion more than once at different time slots,
there’s one important rule you need to follow:
✅ Leave at least 1 hour between reservation time slots.
This rule is actually written on the reservation screen—but the text is very small, and many people miss it.
Also, even though the system allows you to select overlapping slots, doing so can still lead to cancellation or invalidation of one or both bookings.
🕒 Example:
Let’s say you apply for the following time slot:
12:10 PM – 12:20 PM
You might think it’s fine to also apply for:
12:50 PM – 1:00 PM
But in this case, the second slot is within one hour of the first, so the system may still count it as overlapping—and both reservations might get affected.
✅ So, what’s a safe next slot?
If your first slot is 12:10 PM – 12:20 PM,
your next application for the same pavilion should be no earlier than:
1:20 PM – 1:30 PM
Leaving a full hour between each slot helps you:
- Stay within system rules
- Avoid automatic disqualification
- Prevent schedule stress on the day
📌 Tip:
Double-check time spacing when applying—especially if you’re submitting multiple applications at once.
Better safe than sorry!
Final Checklist – What You MUST Double-Check Before Applying
🚨 Don’t Forget This Final Step!
After all that careful planning, there’s one last thing you absolutely must do:
👉 Make sure you actually click the “Apply” (抽選する) button!
If you forget to press it, your carefully selected entries won’t be submitted at all—no matter how perfect your choices are.
✅ Double-Check Your Application Status
Once you’ve applied, go to “My Tickets (マイチケット)” and make sure it says:
“申込済” – Application Submitted
If it doesn’t, your application wasn’t completed.
🙏 Final Thoughts
I hope this post has helped you in some way—
Even if it’s just one useful tip, that’s more than enough for me.
Wishing you the best of luck in the lottery and a truly memorable Expo experience!
Let’s enjoy the Expo!
